Myfanwy (Muffy for short) was created for the 2006 challenge set by the Bear Makers of South Wales. She commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Welsh national anthem and will be sold to raise funds for Ty Hafan, the children's charity. All of the bears for this challenge were created from the same mohair. Muffy is approximately 8 inches tall, and is full of glass beads and poly filling. She has German glass eyes and a needle sculpted face. She wears white muslin and red check shawls with a beautiful bunch of daffodils pin, made in Wales. Her hang tag also bears a real miniature Welsh love spoon ! Muffy was adopted by Elizabeth and her daughter Sian from Maidenhead (along with my darling Ruffle ! ) |
